Have you ever wondered how airlines are rated against other airline carriers? You may or may not be shocked to see where your favorite or most utilized airline ranks amongst others and what their ratings are on a 5-star rating system.
Skytrax is the global certified airlines and airports rating system. Skytrax introduced the World Airline Star Rating in 1999 and is identified as a premier evaluation system classifying airlines on quality.

I can tell you that I have mixed emotions and ratings when it comes to a few of these airlines, while others I most definitely agree with the Skytrax results. It’s amazing how some of the larger legacy carriers who often brag of their service are 3-star airlines and some of its lower-cost competitors rank at a 4-star. The legacy carriers use their “class” system to offer what is supposed to be a better quality of service and better experience than the lower classes. For instance, First Class is typically the best service that the airline provides followed by Business Class, Premium Select (on some international flights only), Premium Economy (Comfort+) then Economy.
